Honestly their Crispy Duck Bahn Mi changed my life. It's perfectly savory, tender, and sweet. The bun has the perfect amount of toasty crunch, and the sauce is just right with the right amount of sweet and savory with a bit of spice. It's honestly the perfect sandwich, and is something everyone with a mouth owes themselves to try at least once! Service is friendly and fast. The vibe is modern, clean, and comfortable. Check them out!

Wasn't planning on reviewing this restaurant... but rather stop by for a quick sandwich and move on. Boy. That crispy chicken Banh mi was SO DELICIOUS. The ratio of vegetable and jalapeño with the crispy chicken with perfect amount of mayonnaise.. simply chef kiss. I have no picture of the sandwich as I was eating while driving So you'll take my word for it.

The crispy duck is one of the best banh mi sandwiches I've eaten. Perfect with the mojito lemonade. This was a spur of the moment decision when I found myself in the South Bay at lunchtime, and I'm so glad I found Cafe Bunn Mi. Pricey for bahn mi, but elevated and delicious.

The food is really good! I ordered the crispy duck sandwich. Hubby ordered the spicy beef noodle soup. My daughter ordered the garlic noodles. They were all delicious! This is a busy spot during lunch hour for sure! Most people in a rush will order for pick-up! If you do come in to sit down and eat, please note that the restrooms do NOT have toilet seat covers! So ladies, we are stuck building a fort!

This is a place I frequent regularly. Their banh mi sandwiches are always really good (I normally get their combination pork sando) with a crunchy but soft French roll that is the staple of an excellent banh mi. However, the real reason I come back so often is for their crunchy nem rolls. They sort of remind me of the Brodard rolls in LA bc they have that fried dumpling skin in the center, but without the orange crack sauce. Instead, they have the typical imperial roll sauce for it and the rolls contain avocado which adds a delicious creaminess to it. I normally grab takeout from here but they have some seating as well. Keep in mind parking on grand avenue can be a little challenging at times, especially during lunch hour on weekdays.

This is the go to spot when I want a refreshing bowl of vermicelli noodles. I only order take out and parking can be a little tough since it's street parking or pay in the lot next door. I usually get the 5-spice chicken or the grilled pork vermicelli bowl and the ingredients are always so fresh. I would say it's even shareable between 2 people if you don't want to be too full.

Went for Lunch Food - 4/5. The meat on the banh mi was tender and uniformly cut. Every piece was similar in size and thickness, letting every bite have all the flavors. Vegetables were crunchy with a nice mixture of sweet and sour and the bun was soft. While I enjoyed the visual of the open sandwich look, it was very cumbersome to eat. The vegetables overflowed getting all over the plate and it ended up being very messy. Crunchy nem rolls were a fun texture experience. The savory meat, chewy wrap, crispy roll, soft noodles, and crunchy vegetables made for a pleasant chewing experience but flavor wise, I didn't taste much. Garlic noodles had plenty of garlic and a good bite. Lemongrass steak had a good aroma but could've used more sear and wok hei to intensify the meat flavor. Service - 3/5. Ordering with the cashier was fine but the server really lacked awareness. She didn't bring the proper amount of utensils, avoided contact as much as possible and never cleaned up the table. We made it very clear that we are done and even stacked the plates to put into a corner but it was ignored. Not really sure why she chose to be so aloof as the restaurant was not busy. Value - 4/5. Pricing is fair with most banh mi and appetizers being in the low 10s and garlic noodles being in the high 10s. Portion sizes were good and the food was fine. Service made me feel slightly miffed since payment is done in the beginning, but not to the point of affecting my choice to dine here again. Parking - Street/Municipal Garage (Metered)
